Cherries D'Vine

The fifth annual Cherries D'Vine event is a culinary showcase featuring regional fruits - the cherry and grape!  This year's "high flyin" edition of the D'Vine event is slated for Sunday, July 4 beginning at noon - just in time for viewing the Festival Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels over West Grand Traverse bay.  Cherry creations from starters to entrees like cherry grilled salmon and slow roasted cherry pulled pork, to cherry blended desserts will be paired with award winning wines from both the Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas.

 

Cherries D’Vine, sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney will benefit the student scholarship fund earmarked for Northwestern Michigan College’s Great Lakes Culinary Institute.

 

Cherries D’Vine tickets are on sale now and limited. Tickets are priced at $20 per person, which includes 3 food tastes and 1 wine taste.  Additional tastes are available for $3 per taste.

Cherries Grand Buffet will showcase recipes prepared by the culinary and catering professionals at the Grand Traverse Pie Company, where you’ll find local Cherries tucked into:

 

  • Cherry Chicken Croissants
  • Cherry Pulled Pork
  • Cherry Cole Slaw
  • Salads
  • Stacked Cherry Infused Deli Sandwiches
  • and of course the signature Cherry Crumb Pie from GT Pie

 

Festival-goers will enjoy a 30 minute Musical Stage Show produced by the Old Town Playhouse Performers. And what better place to celebrate this newly remodeled event than the recently refurbished City Opera House in downtown Traverse City.

 

Admission into the Buffet is limited to 200 festival-goers per seating.  Seatings are at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
