Open Director and Assistant Director Positions

Event Director positions available:
Brat Tent – The Festival has a delicious Brat tent during the week of Festival and is located in the Food Court in the Open Space Park. The tent is open for the entire 8 days of the Festival from 10:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. The Event Director would be responsible for set up of the tent during on Thursday, July 1st and Friday, July 2nd, running the tent during working hours, managing volunteers working the tent during the Festival, tracking Brat Tent inventory, and coordinating finances with the Festival Finance office. Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director meetings the second Tuesday of the month January 2010 through June, approximately 1-2 hours a week as the Festival approaches, and manning tent during the Festival. Experience grilling, cash management, and managing people is required.
Ice Cream Social – The Festival holds two Ice Cream Socials in the Open Space Park: one the evening of Thursday, July 8th after the Junior Royale Parade, and one the afternoon of Saturday, July 10th after the Cherry Royale Parade. The Event Director would be responsible for set up and tear down of each Ice Cream Social, coordinating with the Festival Market Place Director for ice cream and provisions, and working with the Entertainment for the event. Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director meetings the second Tuesday of the month January 2010 through June, approximately 1-2 hours a week as the Festival approaches, and attendance at the event itself.
Mobile Concessions Co-Director – This Director position will co-manage overall Festival week mobile concessions as well as work with the Operations Manager to help develop new concession avenues of revenue generation for the Festival. Mobile Concessions would include areas such as: Air Show, Arts & Crafts Fair, Beach Volley Ball, Parades, Hagerty Family Car Show. Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director Meetings the second Tuesday of the month January 2010 through June, various concessions committee meetings, and approximately 1-2 hours a week as the Festival approaches. Festival week time commitment would be over the 8 days - Saturday July 3rd to Saturday 10th, and Sunday, July 11th.
